Felting Needle Medium (3x10 Pieces)

Special needle for needle felting carded wool that can be used to make all kinds of creative wool crafts. Wool felting is an activity that dates back a very long time.

But the traditional technique of felting with hot water has been updated and it is now possible to felt carded wool using a small barbed needle. This causes the wool to felt together.

Needle felting does not require much preparation – and unlike wet felting you can take breaks from felting and don't have to deal with soapy water and covering. Place the carded wool on top of a felt pad made of foam and insert the needle vertically up and down to felt the wool’s fibres.

The more you 'stitch' the tighter the felting will be. Hold the top of the needle so that the needle barbs can 'catch' the wool.

You can also place the needle in a felting needle holder made of wood for example to give you a good grip on the tool.
